If laughter is the best medicine,
come on and take your dose!

A cheerful heart is good medicine Prov. 17:22

The Hickerson’s are a self-righteous Christian ladies musical-comedy group whose only purpose is to have some laughs by poking fun at Christian fundamentalism, legalism, and the off the wall humanistic things we do as Christians. These never married ladies with their bygone hair-dos and grandma apparel claim to be from the Mt. Holy Olive Vine Second Baptist Church of God in Christ of Resurrected Latter Day Saints Assembly of God in WANCHESE, NC.

Their humor is aimed at bad theology.  Their comedic act includes characters and music designed to enlighten significant Biblical points supporting the true message of the gospel.

Their jokes are always at the expense of the Hickerson sisters.  As they 'render forth', their intent is not to alienate or make fun of anyone, but to incite Christians and non-believers alike to take another view of themselves and their actions in situations that may distract from the walk God has asked us to live. Basically to make us think about how our actions might affect others.

Their work is influenced by the Christian comedy group Glory Bugles, but whereas the Bugle's performances are music-led, the Hickersons' performances are both skit-led and music-led.  "If Your Hairs too Long", and the "King James Version" are 2 hits from the Glory Bugles, while the rest of the music is written and produced by Sister Bubba Fae, (played by Anita Clyne)

The four members are all accomplished musicians, actresses and performers in their own rights.  They are all church-going, God-fearing women who love the Lord, and are truly not self-righteous and "dont wanna be sinful".
